Ottawa-Gatineau Grandmothers Advocacy Network presents an Entertaining and Informative Event.
June 15th - Day of the African Child – Education for All in sub-Saharan Africa
The Ottawa-Gatineau Grandmothers Advocacy Network (GRAN) is hosting an advocacy event on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 at the Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa on 30 Cleary Ave to celebrate the UN Day of the African Child. The event will be a celebration and an opportunity to communicate the critical need for our Canadian government to increase its funding to education in development. We have planned an informative and entertaining evening on education in sub Saharan Africa told through drama, storytelling and music.
Big Soul Project and the Tina Rufaro Marimba Band will be helping us celebrate. GRAN is composed of volunteer members across Canada who have committed to and advocate for grandmothers and vulnerable children in Africa in the areas of health, education and ending violence. We look forward to seeing you there. Bring a friend and come out to join the cause and enjoy the evening with us.
